RTLS & AutoID technologies

We choose the Technology. You choose the Impact.

UWB, Mesh, AoA, BLE, RFID, NFC, LoRa, GPS, LiDAR, AI Vision – vendor-agnostic, selected per use case. The technology is not the product. The result is.

30 minutes with a Solutions Engineer – which technology fits your use case?

The selection principle

The use case dictates the technology. Never the other way around.

The most common bad decision in RTLS projects happens before the project even starts: buying a technology and then searching for a use case. The result is high-precision UWB installations for tasks a BLE beacon could have solved – or zone solutions that fail due to a lack of precision.

We take the opposite approach. We start with the question: What does tracking need to deliver? Centimeters or zones? Every second or event-driven? Indoor, outdoor, or both? This determines the technology – or more often: the mix.

UWB at the assembly station, Mesh on the shop floor, RFID at the gate, GPS in the yard – one data model, one twin.

Technology Matrix

Twelve technologies. One right choice per use case.

UWB

Accuracy 10–30 cm

Tools, fixtures, high-precision assembly

Mesh

Accuracy 2–10 m

Large-scale halls without dense infrastructure

BLE AoA

Accuracy 1–3 m

Mid-range tracking with good precision

BLE Beacons

Accuracy Zone-based

Mass tracking, cost-sensitive applications

RFID

Accuracy Gate-based

Goods receipt, handover points, bulk detection

NFC

Accuracy Touch

Authentication, manual confirmation

LoRa

Accuracy Zones/Outdoor

Expansive areas, battery-efficient

GPS

Accuracy 1–5 m outdoor

Yard, outdoor area, inter-company loops

LiDAR

Accuracy 1–10 cm

Vehicle navigation, contour detection

AI Vision

Accuracy Pixel-precise

Quality assurance, capture without tag

PLC/Machine Events

Accuracy Event

Machine states, cycle signals

Barcode/Data Matrix

Accuracy Scan/camera

Traceability, GS1-compliant labeling

Leverage existing assets

Before we sell new hardware, let's look at your old one.

Many plants already have infrastructure capable of tracking – it is just not being used for it. Cisco Wi-Fi networks with Spaces, Zebra environments, existing RFID gates, BLE-enabled access points. Seconity is hardware-agnostic: Whatever transmits gets integrated. This reduces entry costs and accelerates rollout.

Operations & Lifecycle

Hardware is an operational matter. We treat it as such.

Unified Device Management monitors your entire fleet: battery levels, signal quality, outages – with automated alerts before a gap appears in your data picture.

To the Managed Solution
A twin

No matter the technology: every event feeds into the same twin.

Whether UWB position, RFID gate pass-through, or vision detection – every capture becomes a normalized event within the same data model. The underlying technology can change, grow, or be mixed. Your data foundation remains unified.

Next step

Which technology does your use case need? Let's ask the other way around: What is it supposed to achieve?

In the technology briefing, we clarify requirements, environment, and existing assets in 30 minutes – and you get a well-founded recommendation instead of a catalog.
